Family displaced by Hurricane Harvey returns home, thanks in part to LLG volunteers!

On August 31, 2018, LLG closed their offices to participate in the LLG Day of Giving.  This year, LLG used its time and talents to help with the reconstruction of the home of Deandrea Gregoire.  The Gregoire was displaced from their home due to flooding and destruction from Hurricane Harvey.  The family attempted to return earlier this year but the conditions of the home made it physically unsafe.

It is with great pride and joy that we've been notified of the return of the Gregoire family to their home!

Even though it's been over a year since Harvey brought the city to it's knees, many, many homes are still destroyed and even more families displaced.  There is still so much work to be done.  If you are interested in volunteering with SBP or making a cash donation, please reach out to April Lopez.
