The Houston-based Lopez Law Group announced the opening of an office in Walnut Creek, California on September 1, 2023 that will be led by Erick Dimalanta, who has been named managing partner of the California office. This strategic expansion marks the next phase of growth for Lopez Law Group and allows the firm to further enhance its capabilities in serving clients on the West Coast while expanding its reach across diverse industries.

Erick is an experienced litigator and joins Lopez Law Group from a national law firm, where he was a partner and focused on construction disputes, business litigation, premises liability, property damage, subrogation claims and professional liability matters. A 1992 graduate from the UCLA School of Law and a 1989 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a political science degree, he is licensed to practice in California state courts, multiple Federal district courts, and the state of Texas.

LLG 2021 Year in Review!

Part 4: Lopez Law Group started 2021 off by opening an office in Dallas, Texas. LLG Dallas brings new opportunities and relationships to the firm and allows LLG to continue to expand and serve clients.

Lopez Law Group is looking to add a new member to the family. We are seeking a litigation associate with 1-3 years of experreince, and liscensed to practice in Texas.

The ideal applicant will be excited to work and learn in a fast paced environemnt, while collaboarting with a close-knit team of fellow legal professionals.

LLG Year in Review!

Part 3: As we reach the end of the first month of 2022, we find ourselves reflecting on our previous year, and pondering how we would like to make this to impactful to not only us, but our community as well. Last year, Lopez Law Group celebrated our fifth annual Day of Service, which we created in order to acknowledge the tragedy Harvey left in its wake, and remind ourselves, and our community, of the importance of supporting each other. This year, we partnered with Target Hunger, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending hunger, and planted a community garden in northeast Houston neighborhoods, to help them have access to more fresh foods. The organization’s main goal is to reduce hunger by giving supplemental and nutritious food to people who might otherwise not be able to feed their families, or themselves. After our fulfilling Day of Service, LLG headed over to FM Kitchen to eat, and reflect on what we were able to provide for our community.

2021 LLG Year in Review!

Part 2: Lopez Law Group added seven new members to the LLG family in 2021. Each of them have been a positive addition to the firm, and we could not be more thankful for the group of people we have here at LLG.

Blaine McSwain, Associate Attorney for Lopez Law Group, had a flourishing 2021. She successfully secured the granting of summary judgments, a nominal damages settlement, and multiple releases of claims.

2021 LLG Year in Review!

Part 1: In 2021, the attorneys of Lopez Law Group worked hard and had many successes. Thank you all for your continuous effort to give your all every day and produce excellent results for our clients. 

On December 18th, 2021, LLG held their fifth annual Holiday Party! We celebrated at The Ivy, a hidden gem in Houston, with delicious food and drinks. Thank you to The Ivy for treating LLG like queens and kings. DJ Ferbidden supplied us with excellent dance music and helped us groove all night!

At LLG, we consider ourselves to be family, with a dedication and respect for one another both inside and outside the office. We feel fortunate and grateful to have created such beautiful friendships, all while providing outstanding legal services to our clients and bringing added value to our community. 

Merry Christmas Eve! LLG would like to share about the second family we sponsored this Christmas. We believe we succeeded in making this Christmas fun for the Young family.

The Young's are a great, deserving family. Grandma Zenobia Herring and children Amirya, Zakaira, Armond, Jennifer, Zayvon, and Jaylon, were in attendance. In March of this year, Armond (10 years old) was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, an extremely rare form of cancer that grows in the face. It was important to LLG that Armond and his family were showered with gifts and excitement.

Santa paid a visit to the family and surprised them with gifts. As everyone opened their gifts, Christmas joy permeated the air. The kids and grandma were overjoyed, and their smiles brightened our day. LLG checked everything off the Young's list and even surprised them with more. Grandma Zenobia was likewise overjoyed to receive gifts. This was made possible by the participation of our employees, vendors, friends, and family. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to the Young's fantastic Christmas.

LLG partnered with Jucan Foundation to ensure the Young's had a Christmas they would never forget. We look forward to working with you again next year!

On Friday, December 18th, Lopez Law Group was thrilled to host our Adopted Holiday Families! This is the third year the LLG elves have adopted a family, and this years' experience was the best yet!

Our first family was the Rueda family. To say the Rueda's are a wonderful, deserving family would be an understatement. Parents Noe and Maria and children Benjamin, Noe Julian, Emmanuel, Nicolas, and Evelyn, were in attendance. Benjamin (2 years old) is battling cancer, so our goal was to make sure he and his siblings were spoiled rotten. We might be biased, but we believe we succeeded!

Santa stopped by to surprise the family with gifts. Christmas joy filled the air as everyone opened their presents. The children and parents were genuinely thankful and shocked by the generosity of the gifts. This was made possible due to our employees, vendors, friends, and family who participated.

A special thank you to Jamie's Hope, who connected LLG with the Rueda family. We look forward to working with you again next year!

Brian Lopez and April Lopez, Founding Partners of Lopez Law Group, are thrilled to announce the opening of their newest office in Dallas, Texas.

Despite the uncertainty and hardship that 2020 brought, Brian and April feel very fortunate that LLG continues to effectively serve their clients. With the addition of the Dallas office, LLG can now economically expand their legal services to the DFW area.

Dealing with the spread of Covid-19

Here at LLG we take pride in being a step ahead. With the spread of Covid-19 to our community, we have to the consider best steps for the health of our employees, clients and friends.

As a result, we have implemented LLG’S REAP (Rapid Emergency Action Protocol) system.  The REAP system will allow us to continue to provide excellent service to our clients, while doing our best to stop the spread of Covid-19 and ensuring we are responsible members of our community.

On August 31, 2018, LLG closed their offices to participate in the LLG Day of Giving.  This year, LLG used its time and talents to help with the reconstruction of the home of Deandrea Gregoire.  The Gregoire was displaced from their home due to flooding and destruction from Hurricane Harvey.  The family attempted to return earlier this year but the conditions of the home made it physically unsafe.

It is with great pride and joy that we've been notified of the return of the Gregoire family to their home!

Even though it's been over a year since Harvey brought the city to it's knees, many, many homes are still destroyed and even more families displaced.  There is still so much work to be done.  If you are interested in volunteering with SBP or making a cash donation, please reach out to April Lopez.
