Alisa Pelaez
Alisa joined Lopez Law Group as a post-bar law clerk in August 2026. After passing the Texas bar in July 2026, Alisa transitioned to the role of attorney.
Alisa graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 2026 after completing her 1L coursework at Florida International University in Miami. At UH, Alisa was the Publications Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law. While in law school, Alisa also worked at a Rivera & Shirhatti an immigration firm, focusing on appeals to the Fifth Circuit and Board of Immigration Appeals. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Media and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Before law school, Alisa worked as a middle and elementary school teacher in Andalucia, Spain and Austin, Texas. Outside of work, Alisa enjoys painting, watching Drag Race, and playing with her rabbit, Kiwi.
