Amelia began her career with Lopez Law Group as a law clerk in Summer 2023 and Spring 2024. She rejoined the firm after graduating from the University of Houston Law Center and sitting for the Texas Bar Exam. 

Before law school, Amelia attended the American University of Paris, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, with minors in Linguistics and French. Amelia continued her educational focus on language, earning a Master of Science in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from the University of Oxford. 

While at the University of Houston Law Center, Amelia became a trained mediator and participated in the Mediation Clinic. She was awarded the Frank G. Evans Scholarship for outstanding performance in the Mediation Clinic. Amelia also served as a teaching assistant for Statutory Interpretation. 

Outside of work, Amelia enjoys baking, spending time with her dog, and attending concerts across Texas.
